Before You Need to Know: How To Start The Tough Conversations
Some conversations are tough, but necessary. Talking with your parents about their health, finances, future plans -- not to mention passwords and other essentials -- now, can save everyone stress later. Donation drop off: My Sister's Place, Ansonia
My Sister's Place's thrift store benefits victims of domestic violence. I love that the women in their program receive vouchers to shop at the store for free. Plus, they are super kind, friendly and appreciative when I drop off my donations. Just check their hours before you go (203.734.2960) and know that donations are accepted only via the back entrance. Donation drop-off: Goodwill
Sometimes convenience is THE priority when it comes to busy lives. Goodwill locations are everywhere in Connecticut and this makes them a go-to choice for me for donation drop-offs. Most locations will bring a large blue bin out to your car to make the process simple. For information on what to donate, check out this list.
